BY VICTORIA CAMPISI DECEMBER 30, 2023

From assisting one-time buyers and sellers to three generations of homeowners, this California-based luxury real estate agent is passionate about property matchmaking.

From wine country to ranches and oceanfront properties, Lindsey Harn is an expert in all things California real estate. The San Luis Obispo (SLO) County-based agent turned a post-graduation, part-time job in the industry into a booming career. She has been named the top agent in the county in sales volume for the fourth consecutive year.

Harn has also been a proud member of Christie’s International Real Estate Masters Circle since 2019,  one of just 180 high-performing luxury agents worldwide. Her results-driven approach, unmatched work ethic, integrity and honesty have earned her top-producer status, personally handing over 1,200 transactions and earning $1.1 billion in closed sales.

ESTATENVY spoke to Harn about her journey in real estate and what she is up to today.

ESTATENVY: Why you? How do you stand out above the competition?

Harn: I am super passionate about real estate in SLO County. I care for all of my clients and am really willing to go above and beyond to help them accomplish their goals. My secret skill is my photogenic [sic] memory and ability to match buyers and sellers with the perfect match.

ESTATENVY: How did you get into real estate?

Harn: After graduating college in 2008, I accepted a part-time job as a real estate agent’s assistant. I checked on vacant houses, held broker opens, wrote MLS descriptions and even took photos of the listings on a Canon camera.

ESTATENVY: What is special about the people (your clients) or community (geographically) you currently work with/in?

Harn: I love the variety of the clients I am fortunate to work with. We get to work with first-time homebuyers and first-time sellers, helping folks buy their first vacation home or first investment property. It is an honor to get to work with the family as a whole. With one great set of clients, I have gotten the opportunity to help three generations achieve homeownership here in SLO County. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be able to assist the whole family.

ESTATENVY: What is one piece of advice you would give to a first-time home buyer?

Harn: Be patient. Get pre-approved before you are “ready” to buy. Educate yourself on the process so that when the right piece of property comes up, you are prepared.

ESTATENVY: What is one piece of advice you would give to a blooming real estate investor?

Harn: Location, location, location. Take the time to write down your goals and your minimum standards so that when an interesting property comes up, you can quickly evaluate if the property location, numbers, upside, etc., meets your model.

ESTATENVY: How many deals do you hope to close this year?

Harn: 150.

ESTATENVY: What types of homes do you focus on? Why?

Harn: I feel so lucky as I have wine country, ranches, oceanfront property, gated communities, golf course homes, unique properties rich in history, college homes and so much more. Every single property is unique and has its own set of attributes. I feel lucky I get to have such diversity in the types of homes I sell.

ESTATENVY: Who are some of the other key players at your organization?

Harn: I have great support staff — from a full-time operations manager to a full-time transaction coordinator who just works on our team to the best marketing & PR team out there. I could not do it without their support.
